Inside Justice Launches new BBC Radio 4 Appeal
ACTOR Tom Conti, who is famous for his roles in blockbuster films like Oppenheimer, Shirley Valentine and Paddington has recorded Inside Justice’s fundraising message for BBC Radio 4 Appeal.

Inside Justice is a charity dedicated to investigating miscarriages of justice.

Tom, who serves as a Trustee and Advisory Panel member for the charity, has a deeply personal connection to those who have been wrongly convicted.

“My father was interned as an enemy alien during the war and often spoke about the horrors of being unjustly imprisoned, and his stories have stayed with me.

“It could happen to anyone, you or one of your family in the wrong place at the wrong time.”

The BBC Radio 4 Appeal gives an insight into the kinds of work Inside Justice does and the people we support like Patryk Pachecka who was wrongly convicted of murder. Our staff team worked alongside legal and forensic experts as well as investigative journalists to find new evidence which provided his innocence. He was freed in 2021 after spending 5 years in prison.

Shortly after his release Patryk said: “I am the happiest man in the world
because of Inside Justice. I am very, very happy.”

A donation of £41 could help fund a rapid assessment of a prisoner’s application to see if they have a case. If you want to help other innocent people like Patryk please do.

You can listen to Tom's message and DONATE to the BBC Radio 4 Appeal page

You can also donate directly to the Inside Justice website too.
