Award-winning charity Inside Justice is delighted to announce the appointment of two distinguished professionals to its Board of Trustees.
Professor Peter Watson is a leading legal expert and advocate, and Susie Fraser is an award-winning business leader and marketing specialist. Their combined expertise will bring invaluable insight and leadership to further the charity’s work investigating miscarriages of justice and supporting those who have been wrongly convicted.
Professor Watson is one of Scotland’s first Solicitor Advocates and has recently been appointed President of the British Academy of Forensic Sciences. With a career spanning landmark legal cases, including the Piper Alpha Disaster and the Lockerbie Air Disaster, he has played a key role in shaping forensic and legal practice. He has advised major media organisations, public bodies, and international institutions, including the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe. Recognised as Solicitor of the Year in 2008, his expertise in legal integrity and access to justice will greatly enhance Inside Justice’s mission.
Susie Fraser is an accomplished business leader and marketer, who recently founded and chairs a pioneering not-for-profit marketing and communications agency, dot + del, that donates 100% of its profits to charity. With a deep understanding of strategic communications and business development, she has led successful campaigns across multiple industries, driving significant impact. Susie also brings extensive third sector and board experience, which will support Inside Justice in raising awareness and expanding its reach.
Commenting on their appointments, Inside Justice CEO Professor Sarah Niblock said: “We are thrilled to welcome Peter and Susie to our Board. Their expertise in law, forensic science, media, and strategic communications will be invaluable as we continue to grow our work in challenging wrongful convictions and ensuring justice is served.”
