Listen: Inside Justice CEO on LBC

In this powerful interview with LBC, our CEO reflects on the quashing of Peter Sullivan’s conviction after an unimaginable 38 years — the longest-known miscarriage of justice in UK history.

Sarah has a personal connection to the case, having grown up close to where the crime took place. That experience shaped her lifelong commitment to uncovering the truth — first as a journalist, then as an academic specialising in ethics, and now through her work at Inside Justice.

Crucially, Peter’s conviction was overturned thanks to forensic evidence being retained — a rare occurrence in older cases. Advancements in DNA technology enabled experts to show that the evidence did not match Peter Sullivan.

In the interview, we also highlight:

We hold Diane Sindall’s family in our thoughts and continue our fight for justice on all fronts.
