Our tribute to Paddy Hill

It is with deep sadness that we at Inside Justice acknowledge the passing of Paddy Hill, a tireless advocate for justice and a champion for those wrongfully convicted. Paddy's story is one of immense resilience, having been wrongfully convicted of the Birmingham pub bombing in 1975, a crime he did not commit. He spent 17 years in prison before his conviction was overturned, but his journey did not end there.
Following his release, Paddy devoted his life to supporting others who, like him, had been victims of miscarriages of justice. His determination led to the creation of a charity in Scotland, which continues to help individuals who are fighting for justice after wrongful convictions. Through his work, Paddy gave hope to countless people, providing a voice to those whose stories were often ignored.
Paddy’s legacy is one of courage, compassion, and a relentless pursuit of truth. At Inside Justice, we were fortunate to have worked alongside him in the ongoing fight for justice reform. His contributions to the cause will never be forgotten, and his memory will continue to inspire all those who seek to right the wrongs within our justice system.
Our thoughts are with Paddy’s family, friends, and all who had the privilege of working with him. We are grateful for his indelible impact on the movement for justice, and we honour his memory as we continue the work he so passionately dedicated his life to.
